What is Botulinum Toxin?
Botulinum toxin is a naturally occurring protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. It’s advisable to allocate a 24-hour period for recovery after the procedure.
Nevertheless, in practice, aside from possible minor bruising, swelling, or redness at the injection site,
we anticipate minimal to no side effects, and there should be no need for any downtime.

You can expect to observe the initial visible effects of your anti-wrinkle injections around 2-3 days following the treatment,
and the full, optimal results should become evident within 12-14 days. Your enhanced appearance is likely to endure for a duration

What should I do before treatment?

It is important you tell your practitioner about any medicines or dietary supplements you are taking, some medicines can adversely affect the way the toxin works or increase your risk of bruising.

If you are taking supplements such as Vitamin A, C or E, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, fish oils, St. Johns Wort or some pain killing medicines such as aspirin or ibuprofen, then these can increase your risk of bruising and it may be advisable to stop taking them a few days before your treatment. It is also advisable that you do not drink alcohol the night before your treatment, for the same reason.

It is not advisable to have treatment if you are feeling at all unwell.

Make-up will need to be removed prior to the injections and you will be advised not to reapply it for 12 hours in order to reduce the risk of infection or irritation at the injection sites.

Be aware of the necessary after care advice and that your schedule allows for you to follow it.

What are anti wrinkle injections?

What can I expect after this treatment?

Continuous improvement in results may be observed for up to 4 weeks or even longer.

What is the aftercare?

Maintain an Upright Position: Stay upright for at least 2 hours after the procedure.
Avoid Makeup: Refrain from applying makeup for approximately 6 hours following the procedure, unless it is mineral-based makeup.
Hand Hygiene: Wash your hands immediately after the procedure.
Avoid Touching Your Face: Do not touch the areas that have been injected for 6 hours.
Muscle Contractions: Perform small extra contractions of the treated muscles every 20 minutes during the first hour after the procedure.
Gentle Cleansing: When cleansing your face, use gentle strokes away from the eyes and avoid applying pressure to the treated areas.
Facial Massages and Electrical Stimulation: Avoid facial massages and any electrical stimulation of the face for the next 14 days.
Clothing: Avoid wearing tight caps or garments in the areas that have been injected.
Alcohol and Heat: Refrain from consuming alcohol and avoid exposure to Uradiation and extreme heat sources, including saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds, very hot showers, and strenuous exercise, for a specified period.
